The python programming class is one unit that spans over the course of 30 days.  During this course/unit, students are introduced to python programming and will learn basic functions and concepts that programmers use consistently.  Students will also understand the different types of algorithms, how they run and correct Python syntax. Throughout the course/unit, they will complete various unplugged activities and work within an IDE(Integrated Development Environment) to create python code. They will also complete various challenges through the use of Finch robots and turtle programming that will test their understanding of previously taught concepts.
